A stylish and refreshing DIY plant room divider

But what if your overflowing collection is taking up too much space? A plant divider is a great way to display all your plants neatly while also functioning as a room divider. And the best thing is that you can create one with just a few simple tools.

You will need:

• Clothes rail
• Trailing indoor plants of your choice
• Fishing wire (optional)
• Scissors (optional)

1. Find a good spot at home

Pick a spot where you want to place the divider. Make sure that it’s a place where your plants can get enough sunlight.

2. Hang the trailing plants first

Start by arranging the trailing plants first such as the money plant at the edge of the clothes rail. For extra long creepers, place it on top of a stack of books at the base of the clothes rail. Then, start to trail the plant upwards by wrapping it around the bar. This creates a laidback vibe to the room and leaves more space to hang the potted plants.

Bonus tip: If the trailing plants have trouble staying still, wrap the fishing wire around the clothes rail to hold the stems in place.

3. Experiment with different hangers

To hang up potted plants, experiment with plastic hangers in different colours or try your hand at macrame if you’re feeling extra crafty. Mix and match the hangers to create an eclectic feel.
