A

Aluminium

Aluminium is a lightweight, non-corrosive, stain resistant, waterproof and anti-rust metal. It has a silver finish that is easy to clean. 100% recyclable.

Birch

Birch timber is a sustainable hardwood from plantation trees that is extremely strong with a heavy density, ideal for furniture frames. 100% recyclable.
 

Bonded leather

Made from a combination of real and faux leather, bonded leather offers the appearance of genuine leather at a more affordable price. An eco-conscious option that reduces waste, the latest bonded leathers are water-resistant, easy to clean and available in a wide range of colours and textures.
 

Butterfly extension

A butterfly extension is a hidden leaf that unfolds to lengthen the table top.
 

C

Chenille - 100% polyester

Synthetic upholstery with a short, dense pile in a soft finish. A high performance fabric that is wrinkle and stain resistant, durable and easy to clean.
 

Chrome

A layer of chromium electroplated onto a metal surface. Chrome plating protects against corrosion and has a shiny, reflective surface that is easy to clean. Available in many colours such as silver, gold, rose gold, copper, antique brass and black.

Dotted cord - 100% polyester

Synthetic upholstery with a thick pile in a soft, dotted cord finish. A high performance fabric that is wrinkle and stain resistant, durable and easy to clean.

An extension leaf is used to lengthen a dining table to accommodate more seating.

Faux leather

Increasingly popular as an environmentally friendly alternative to leather, faux leather is synthetically made and offers the appearance of genuine leather without being an animal byproduct. The latest range of high performance faux leathers have the added advantages of being stain and water resistant, and come in a wide variety of colours and textures often at a more affordable price.
 

Fibre

Fibre filling is a popular choice for seat, back and arm cushions if you want that cosy 'sink into your sofa' feeling. Usually made from polyester, fibre is a good alternative to feather and down if you have allergies. Fibre cushions require regular plumping to maintain their softness and full appearance.
 

L

Lacquer

Lacquer is a resin applied onto a surface as a decorative and protective layer. It has a smooth finish and adds strength and durability.
 

Laminated chipboard

Made from wood chips and resin, chipboard is a stable alternative to solid wood. Laminated chipboard has a decorative and protective layer of plastic laminate, paper or wood veneer.
 

Laminated concrete effect

Concrete print cellulose paper impregnated with plastic resins to form a hard composite with a strong and stable base like MDF, chipboard or tempered glass. Resistant to stains, chips and scratches and looks like genuine concrete but at a more affordable price.

Laminated paper foil

LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber)

LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) is thin layers of timber, such as poplar, that are glued together to provide strength and stability. 100% recyclable.
 

M

MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard)

Made from compressed plantation tree fibre, resin and wax, MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is a strong and stable alternative to solid wood. Unlike natural wood, MDF does not warp or crack when the humidity and temperature fluctuate.
 

O

Oak veneer

A layer of real oak that is attached to a strong and stable base like MDF. This gives the same surface durability as solid oak with greater stability and no cracking. Looks like solid oak without the environmental impact.

Paper veneer

Heavy-duty paper that is attached to a strong and stable base like MDF. Resistant to stains, chips and scratches.
 

Pine

Pine timber is a sustainable softwood from plantation trees that is strong and durable. Widely used to make furniture frames, pine is lightweight yet stable and highly resistant to shock. 100% recyclable.
 

Plush finish - 100% polyester

Synthetic upholstery with a short, dense pile that gives a soft, plush finish. A high performance fabric that is wrinkle and stain resistant, durable and easy to clean.
 

Plywood

Plywood is thin layers of timber, such as poplar, that are glued together to provide strength and stability. 100% recyclable.
 

Pocket springs

Pocket springs are a group of small springs, with each spring wrapped in its own fabric pocket allowing it to work independently. Available in varying strengths for different levels of comfort, pocket springs maintain their comfort levels, retain their shape and do not require plumping.

Poplar

Poplar timber is a sustainable hardwood from plantation trees that is lightweight yet strong and dense, ideal for furniture frames. 100% recyclable.
 

Powder coated

A layer of epoxy resin applied onto a metal surface. Epoxy resin provides a strong, matt finish and protects against corrosion and scratches.

Rubberwood

Hevea brasiliensis (rubberwood) is a sustainable hardwood from plantation trees that is heavy, dense and durable. Widely used in furniture manufacturing, rubberwood is a strong and stable alternative to oak and less prone to shrinking and cracking. 100% recyclable.
 

S

Serpentine springs

Also known as zigzag or sinuous springs, serpentine springs are S-shaped steel springs that run along the sofa seat to offer support. Available in varying strengths for different levels of comfort. 100% recyclable.
 

Stainless steel

Stainless steel is an alloy of steel and chromium. It is non-corrosive, stain resistant, waterproof and anti-rust, and has a bright, silver appearance that is easy to clean. Available in a brushed or polished finish. 100% recyclable and made from up to 70% recycled material.
 

Steel

Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon. It is exceptionally strong and durable, and able to withstand significant pressure. With an endless life cycle, steel is an eco-friendly material as it can be recycled without losing any of its strength. 100% recyclable and made from up to 70% recycled material.
 

T

Tempered glass

Glass that has been treated to increase its strength and safety. Tempered glass is 4x stronger and able to withstand greater pressure. Unlike untreated glass, tempered glass also shatters into tiny pieces to minimise injury. 100% recyclable.
 

V

Velvet finish - 100% polyester

Synthetic upholstery with a short, dense pile that gives a soft, velvet finish. A high performance fabric that is wrinkle and stain resistant, durable and easy to clean.
