Shesham is a very hard wood and can change shape due to variations in humidity and temperature. This means the wood may swell or shrink, and therefore cause some unevenness and small cracks to occur. This is perfectly normal and not a fault with the product.
We advise using a pigmented wax such as ‘Fiddes Rugger Brown’ to help maintain your furniture. This will do two things, moisten the wood but also fill any small gaps or cracks that develop.
