Myers started making beds in 1876 in Vauxhall in London producing metal bed frames trading as Horatio Myer and sons. They moved to a purpose built 300,000 square feet factory on a 13 acre plot at Huntingdon in 1982 where they still produce all their products.

Although now part of the Hilding-Anders group the family values remain as does their tradition of producing beds at exceptional value for money and are exceptionally comfortable. Myers pride themselves on making beds that facilitate a good night’s sleep, which Doctors claim is as important to our wellbeing as diet and exercise.

The beds are all handcrafted and designed to give people the best night’s sleep possible and in 1986 their pocket spring sister company Staples was awarded the Royal Warrant to provide beds for the royal family.

To achieve this important objective they use top quality materials and a variation of spring systems and materials;

Single Spring with 325 Dual Response open coil springs in a 150cm mattress to provide support where your body needs it.

Twin Spring with 650 Dual Response open coil springs in a 150cm mattress, to provide extra support

Maxi Spring with 928 twin spring, in a 150cm mattress, which closely conform to the body for increased comfort and support.

They also use standard reflex foam with natural cotton and wool as well as Memory Foam which gives pressure relief, comfort and extra support. Dunlopillo latex is also used for additional pressure relief either on its own or combined with Memory Foam.

Another innovation is Coolmax built into the mattress for a cooling, more comfortable feel with a softer touch. The latest feature is “Silverdry” which is anti-bacterial technology, using real silver to help keep your mattress fresh and clean.
