Are corner sofas on trend?
Absolutely. Thanks to the comfort and practicality corner sofas offer, they’re a shape that never goes out of style. Great for laying out with a good book or getting comfy to watch the latest Netflix release, you won’t be disappointed if you opt for an L-shaped sofa in your living room.

Is a corner sofa good for a small room?
It may seem counterintuitive at first, but corner sofas are great for small rooms as they make use of those awkward corners which often get left as dead space. Corner sofas also maximise the seating space, meaning more room for friends and family.

Where is the best position for a corner sofa?
Despite the name, this really does depend on the size and shape of your space, as well as your personal design preference. In smaller rooms, positioning the corner sofa in the corner (obvious, we know), makes the most sense as this maximises the space. If you’re lucky enough to have a larger room to play with, then you can get creative. Positioning corner sofas away from the wall and towards the centre of the space can help create sections, providing different areas with different functions.

What is the difference between a corner sofa and an L-shape sofa?
An L-shaped sofa is a one-cornered sofa with two perpendicular seating areas that form an “L” shape”. However, not all corner sofas have just one corner in this way, which is where the difference lies. Corner sofas can also have two corners, which would form a “U” shape design.

How do you know whether you need a right-sided or left-sided corner sofa?
When it comes to L-shaped corner sofas and chaise-style corner sofas, it’s important to decide whether a left or right-sided design is best for you. We usually recommend aligning the longest side of the sofa with the longest wall. Also, consider the flow of your room. If the corner isn’t against a wall, it can block off a space - although this is not always a bad thing and can be used effectively to divide a room. Positioning the sofa in a corner will create ease of movement and a good flow. If you’re struggling to decide, look out for our practical, interchangeable models where the chaise can be fitted on either side (you can change this up whenever you want to). Not all our models require you to decide on left or right. Many of our designs are equal in length on both sides, meaning they can fit into both a right and a left corner.
